35 years in the businesss. 45 years married to the most amazing woman in the world.
My wife Pam and I have been sweethearts since Jr. High School, and we still love each other like crazy. 15 years ago, I filled my garage with new mattresses, put two floor models in a spare room and went for it. I’d spent 20 years as a manufacturers rep calling on furniture and mattress stores and finally decided to make the jump. I’ve never looked back! I’ve grown a lot since then, helping thousands of awesome people sleep better, and I’m grateful every single day that I get to do it.

I got my start in the mattress business as a Factory Representative for 20 years calling on both the largest and smallest retailers around the country.
That experience prepared me to open my own one-man operation known to tens of thousands of people as The Mattress Peddler 15 years ago. Thank you to all of the thousands of people I’ve met on this incredible journey and have helped me be where I am today. There is no substitute for experience.
Finally, I would not be in this business without my brother Dave Powers. He got my foot in the door, and I kicked it wide open to this great opportunity – all the while mentoring me along the way. Every morning when I wake up, I give thanks to God for this life I get to live. Thank you all for making my life beautiful!

A Bed for Pablo

6:00 p.m finishing up Easter dinner at my sister’s and the phone rings.
Pablo: are you open?
Me: I’m like quick trip I’m always open. Wanna look at beds at 7?
Pablo: Yes, can you deliver tonight?
Me: Absolutely. If I have the right bed for you and you purchase tonight you’ll sleep on it tonight and get free delivery. I’ll text you the address. See you at 7 p.m.
Pablo: Seriously?
Me: Yes, seriously. You’re not talking to any ole’ mattress store. You’re talking to the Mattress Peddler. It’s just what I do my friend. It’s how I’ve built my business. See ya at 7.
